Around 12mins walk to the train station. The room is big.
Not too much restaurant next to the hotel and no breakfast. The design of bathroom is strange.

A reasonable cholice if you need to stay near TRA train station, clean rooms.
We chose this hotel for the proximity of the TRA train station, it´s a walkable distance even with backpacks, but be prepared to maneuver in the traffic with no sidewalks. The check-in was not possible before 3pm, but we could leave our luggage. The room was spacious, air condicioning worked OK, the light and airy bathroom gave a view of the street should you wish to roll up the blinds. The twin beds were comfortable, there was a nice working lamp on the desk, and a narrow, openable window (be careful, some of the cheaper rooms have no windows at all.) The breakfast was OK, the usual selection of Chinese as well as basic Western food - toast, butter, jam, eggs, sausage. No frills, but this hotel is a good base for going on a day trip to Alishan, as the Alishan buses also leave from the train station. Our room was very clean and new, towels changed daily, tea and coffee bags supplied, as well as bottled water. In spite of some negatives (see below), we had a good rest there and for anybody who needs to stay near the TRA station, this is not a bad choice. WIFI worked perfectly.
No soundproofing of the door - we heard kids making noise from a room that wasn´t even next to ours. Uncomfortable thick pillows. The reception staff seems too busy to give any tips about trips etc., their only question upon our arrival was whether we need housekeeping if we are staying only for 3 nights - not a very warm welcome, but the hotel has a low-key profile, so be prepared for no frills approach.

Nice hotel
Clean and relatively spacious rooms. Breakfast was good. We booked two rooms. One room had a broken TV. They offered to put in a new TV, but it was late so we opted not to have it replaced. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Close to night market.
